Hot Rolled Coils designed, are used in the welding and construction industries to create railroad tracks and I-beams. Steel is continuously rolled at a high temperature, usually above 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, to produce these coils. In cases when perfect forms and tolerances are not required, Hot Rolled Coils are employed. Because hot rolled steel requires less processing, it is less expensive than cold-rolled steel.
